He Cares for You — 1 Peter 5:7
Worry has a way of making everything feel heavier.
A concern enters our thoughts, and before long we can find ourselves turning it over again and again.
What if this happens?
What if that does not work out?
What am I going to do?
1 Peter 5:7 offers a much quieter response:
1 Peter 5:7
“7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.”

Reflection / Encouragement
Peter does not tell us that our concerns are imaginary.
Instead, he tells us where to take them.
We are invited to cast our worries on God.
That means we do not have to pretend that something is not troubling us.
We can bring the concern honestly before him.
We can name it.
We can pray about it.
And we can begin releasing the burden of believing that everything depends upon us.
The reason given in this verse is beautifully simple:
“because he cares for you.”
God’s care is not distant or impersonal.
You matter to him.
Your concerns matter to him.
That does not mean every difficult situation will immediately disappear.
But it does mean you do not have to walk through those situations carrying their full weight alone.
Whatever is troubling you today, bring it to God.
You may need to do that more than once.
But each time the worry returns, let it become another invitation to place it back into his hands.
He cares for you.
A Quiet Moment
If something is weighing on your heart today, take a quiet moment to place it into God’s hands. Return to The Quiet Lamp for another daily Scripture and encouragement.
