God Is Your Refuge — Nahum 1:7
Trouble can change the way the world around us feels.
Things that once seemed stable may suddenly feel uncertain. Questions multiply, plans change, and we can find ourselves searching for somewhere secure to stand.
Nahum 1:7 gives us a simple reminder:
Nahum 1:7
“The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.”

Reflection / Encouragement
The verse begins with the character of God.
The LORD is good.
Before it tells us what he provides, it reminds us who he is.
Then comes the promise that he is “a stronghold in the day of trouble.”
A stronghold is a place of protection and security. The trouble may still be real, but it does not leave us without somewhere to turn.
And the verse ends personally:
“He knows those who take refuge in him.”
God is not merely a distant shelter.
He knows the people who come to him.
That means our refuge is not simply a place. It is a relationship with the God who sees us, knows us, and remains good even when our circumstances are difficult.
If today feels uncertain, you do not need to find security in having every answer.
Take refuge in God.
He remains good.
He remains strong.
And he knows you.
A Quiet Moment
If today feels uncertain, take a quiet moment to turn toward God and rest in him as your refuge.
