Hold Fast to Hope — Hebrews 10:23

Hope is easy to talk about when life feels settled.

It can be much harder to hold onto when circumstances change, answers take time, or the future feels uncertain.

Hebrews 10:23 speaks directly into those moments:

Hebrews 10:23

“let’s hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering; for he who promised is faithful.”
— Hebrews 10:23 WEBU

Reflection / Encouragement

The verse does not tell us to hold onto hope because everything around us is predictable.

It gives us a much stronger reason:

“He who promised is faithful.”

Our confidence is ultimately rooted in the character of God.

Circumstances change.

Plans change.

Our emotions can change from one day to the next.

But God’s faithfulness does not depend upon any of those things.

That is why hope can remain even when we cannot see exactly how a situation will unfold.

Holding fast does not mean pretending we never struggle.

It means returning again and again to the truth that God remains trustworthy even when our understanding is limited.

When your confidence feels unsteady, bring your attention back to the One who made the promise.

You may not know every detail of what comes next, but you can continue holding firmly to hope because God remains faithful.

A Quiet Moment

If your hope feels unsteady today, take a quiet moment to remember the faithfulness of God.
