Rejoicing in Hope — Romans 12:12
Some verses say a great deal in very few words.
Romans 12:12 gives us three simple directions:

“rejoicing in hope, enduring in troubles, continuing steadfastly in prayer,”

Reflection / Encouragement
Rejoice in hope.
Hope does not require us to pretend that everything is easy. Christian hope looks beyond the difficulty in front of us and remembers that our confidence rests in God.
Endure in troubles.
There will be seasons we cannot fix immediately. Endurance means continuing to walk faithfully even while circumstances remain difficult.
Continue steadfastly in prayer.
Prayer keeps us connected to God when trouble continues. It gives us somewhere to bring our fears, questions, gratitude, and hopes.
These three things belong together.
Hope gives us something to hold onto.
Endurance helps us continue.
Prayer keeps turning our hearts toward the One in whom our hope is found.
Romans 12:12 does not promise an effortless life. Instead, it gives us a simple way to walk through difficult seasons without allowing them to define us.
Whatever today brings, keep your hope alive, remain steady through the trouble, and continue bringing your heart to God in prayer.
A Quiet Moment
Whatever today brings, take a quiet moment to place it before God in prayer.
