Don’t Give Up — Galatians 6:9
Doing good can become tiring.
We may begin with energy and hope.
But when results are slow, encouragement is scarce, or our efforts seem unnoticed, weariness can begin to settle in.
Galatians 6:9 speaks directly into that experience:
Galatians 6:9
“Let’s not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season if we don’t give up.”

Reflection / Encouragement
The verse does not pretend that faithful service is always easy.
It acknowledges weariness.
“Let’s not be weary in doing good…”
Sometimes doing what is right requires continuing long after the initial enthusiasm has faded.
We may wonder whether our effort matters.
We may question whether anything is changing.
We may even be tempted to stop because the harvest has not appeared yet.
But Paul gives us a reason to continue:
“for we will reap in due season…”
A harvest does not appear immediately after the seed is planted.
There is a season of unseen growth.
There is waiting.
There is patience.
There is continued care before the fruit becomes visible.
The same can be true of the good we do.
We do not always see immediately what God may accomplish through a kind word, a faithful responsibility, an act of service, a prayer, or a decision to keep doing what is right.
Then the verse adds one important condition:
“if we don’t give up.”
Weariness may come.
But weariness does not have to become surrender.
If you feel discouraged today, keep doing the good that is before you.
Trust God with what you cannot yet see.
The harvest has its season.
Don’t give up.
A Quiet Moment
If doing good feels tiring today, take a quiet moment to ask God for perseverance.
